Description

The Senior Systems Analyst will provide lead support for technical maintenance and development of the District’s Human Resources Payroll and Information System, as well as resolve complex issues and propose effective solutions.

ABOUT YOU:

  • you are an experienced Systems Analyst who welcomes a challenge
  • you understand project management and document development
  • you bring a wide range of expertise to the role including operating system utilities, contemporary database structures and formats, and programming and development languages
  • you are a skilled communicator who is able to collaboratively work with multiple stakeholders to achieve results
  • you have the ability to interpret technical information, define problems, and provide solutions

ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • a diploma in computer technology
  • minimum of  three years’ related work experience including experience in the design and development of programs and ad-hoc reports
  • experience with SQL and relational databases such as ORACLE or MS SQL server  
  • excellent analytical, project management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • preference will be given to applicants who have knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS including Payroll for North America, (PeopleSoft 9.2, PeopleTools 8.55+), PeopleCode, BI Publisher for PeopleSoft, Application Engine, Application Designer, Peopletools Integration and Administration Tools, and SQR

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Systems Analyst, Human Resources will:

  • analyze critical system areas and troubleshoot effectively and efficiently to ensure the timely completion of each payroll cycle from the run control prospective
  • provide project management expertise for long and short term technical projects
  • analyze objectives and recommend direction for the development and implementation of new custom application modules
  • formulate, devise, and test technical solutions and develop implementation strategies
  • create programs and ad-hoc reports specific to internal and external end user requirements
  • develop strategies and resolve issues and concerns associated with the maintenance of the Human Resources Payroll application
  • collaborate with functional users from cross functional areas to maintain a high degree of data integrity

Reporting to the Director, Diversity Education and Comprehensive School Health, the successful candidate for this part-time (0.500 FTE), twelve-month, term-definite Program Coordinator position will provide leadership and support to a collaborative team for an Out-of-School Time program for immigrant and refugee students and families.

ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • you have a diploma in a related field
  • you have a minimum of three years related experience including supervisory experience
  • you have experience working with students and families
  • you have excellent interpersonal skills

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Program Coordinator will:

  • hire and supervise staff working at three sites across the city of Edmonton
  • work with site coordinators to plan and organize daily activities and meetings
  • work with partner agencies to plan collaboratively and distribute workload
  • provide quarterly reports to Reach Edmonton
